Meet our Family!
Coach Mitch is the owner of Premier Fitness and you will see him teaching just about everything. Coach Mitch has a strong wrestling background, having wrestled for Campbell County High School and University of the Cumberlands. Coach Mitch also coached at East Ridge High School and Pikeville High School before moving to Northern Kentucky.
In addition to wrestling, Coach Mitch is a brown belt in jiu-jitsu and has trained for more than thirteen years. Coach Mitch believes there are lifelong benefits to training in mixed martial arts and his goal is to create a family atmosphere at Premier.
Alex is a realtor in Northern Kentucky, and is active within the jiu-jitsu and cross fit community! Alex started training in jiu-jitsu in 2017. Born in Michoacan Mexico, he is bilingual and works with many of our members who speak Spanish.
While training, Alex earned his blue blue under Shawn Hammonds in 2019. He then earned his purple belt under Sydney Cline at Figure 4 fight academy in January 2023!
Alex teaches the adult jiu-jitsu classes and his two younger daughters participate in the kids classes. He and his family are dedicated to the members at Premier Jiu-jitsu.
Coach Hunter works with our middle and high school programs to develop the fundamentals that will lead to competitive success.
A Northern Kentucky native, Coach Hunter began wrestling at age five, and currently holds a 100+ win record. Cooper High School, where he was a two time regional runner up and four time state qualifier.
Hunter now participates in the adult jiu-jitsu classes and assists with training the kids jiu-jitsu classes as well.
Coach Andrew joined us at Premier fitness in April 2024. He started training bjj in 2017 and earned his blue belt under Robby Malof at limitless bjj in 2018. He then earned his purple belt under Shawn Hammonds at Triple Crown MMA.
Coach Andrew teaches Gi and No gi classes evenings Monday through Thursday here at Premier Fitness. He's also and active bjj competitor.
Coach Andrews two young children participate in the kids bjj classes at Premier fitness under Coach Mitch. His wife also participates in the evening Gi classes hoping this will encourage more women to join Premier fitness. In addition coach Andrew works full time for a small construction company in Cincinnati Ohio where he remodels houses and apartments.
Coach Andrew is very passionate about bjj and loves teaching even more. Coach Andrew welcomes all skill levels and especially enjoys teaching brand new people and help the grow their skills and understanding of Brazilian jujitsu. Come try a class!!
